The ninth biennial meeting of Indian Theoretical Chemists (TTC-'02) will be held during January 17 - 19, 2003 in the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur, Calcutta 700 032. As has been customary, the meeting will have invited lectures, poster sessions, and evening lectures. In addition to Indian scientists, a few scientists from abroad are also being invited with a view to fostering closer interaction among colleagues in different parts of the Globe. The organizing committee is in the process of drawing up the list of invited speakers in the light of norms followed so far. The second circular will contain all the details. Arranging accommodation for our guests in Calcutta during winter is a tough job and it is in this context we request all the intending participants to fill in the accompanying pre-registration form and submit it directly to the E-mail account:
positively before August 31, 2002. All the participants
will have to pay a registration fee of rupees five hundred
(Rs. 500/-) only (Rs. 250/- for students). Due to paucity of funds,
we will not be able to provide travel support to you, but will be glad
to extend full local hospitality. You are requested to note
the following deadlines and adhere to them strictly. This will
help the organizing committee to ensure that
your stay in Calcutta is hassle-free.
