Sealed item rate tenders are invited from Bonafide contractors for the work of “Renovation work comprising of Civil, Interior, Plumbing and Electrical works for making Guest House at First Floor of Canteen Building at Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur, Kolkata – 700 032” of estimated value of Rs. 21,19,669.00 ( Rupees twenty one lakh nineteen thousand six hundred sixty nine only ).
Tender shall be submitted in two parts. Part I Technical bid and Part II Financial bid. Part I shall contain satisfactory completion certificate of at least two similar works each costing not less than Rs.11.00 lakhs or one similar works costing not less than Rs. 17.00 lakhs during last five years, under Govt. / Govt. Autonomous Bodies / PSUs. Trade licence, P.F Registration, VAT, PAN and company profile, permanent address, teleplone number etc. are also to be submitted.
The Earnest money deposit (EMD) should be submitted alongwith Part –I.
Turnover certificates for last 3 years ending 31st March, 2011 duly certified by the Chartered Accountant are also to be submitted by the contractor.
Tender documents will be sold from the office of the Engineer of IACS on Cash
payment of Rs. 500.00 (Non refundable ) from 11.06.2012 to 25.06.2012 from 11.30
A.M to 2.30 P.M on all working days except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
Completed tenders ( Part I & Part II in separate envelope superscripted with Name of Work, Part Nos. etc sealed and put into one 3rd big-size envelope ) along with the Earnest Money Deposit amounting to Rs. 50,000.00 ( Rupees fifty thousand only ) in the form of Pay Order / Demand Draft / Banker’s Cheque from any Schedule Bank drawn in favour of “Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science” payable at Kolkata along with complete tender will be received up to 3.00 P.M on 27.06.2012. The technical bid (Part I) will be opened on 27.06.2012 at 3.30 P.M in the presence of intending tenders.
Financial bids (Part –II) of the successful short listed tenderers through
evaluation of Part –I will be opened on 03.07.2012 at 3.30 P.M after notices to
the qualified bidders.

Those who will submit tender by downloading from website shall deposit cost of tender papers in a separate non-refundable demand draft / banker’s cheque or Pay Order and credentials for necessary eligibility as per tender notice along with the tender document.
